We gladly received the courtesy visit of Ambassador Julia Elizabeth Hyatt, Jamaican Ambassador in Mexico. The Ambassador reiterated the commitment to the Agency and their support for the important work they carry out to ensure that Latin America and the Caribbean continue to be a nuclear weapons-free zone.
Jamaica signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on October 26, 1967, ratified the Treaty on June 26, 1969, and on that same date presented its declaration of waiver of the requirements set forth in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
