Trinity and Tobago signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on June 27, 1967, ratified the Treaty on December 3, 1970 and on June 27, 1975 presented its declaration of waiver of the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco .
Trinidad and Tobago signed a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on November 4, 1992, in accordance with Article 13 of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
Trinidad and Tobago signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on August 20, 1968 in Washington and August 22, 1968 in London, and ratified it on October 30, 1986 in Washington and London.
Trinidad and Tobago signed the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) on October 8, 2009 and ratified it on May 26, 2010.
Trinidad and Tobago signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on September 26, 2019 and ratified it on the same date.
