El Salvador signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on February 14, 1967, ratified the Treaty on April 22, 1968 and on that same date presented its declaration of waiver of the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

El Salvador signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on July 1, 1968 and ratified it on July 11, 1972 in Washington.
El Salvador signed the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) on September 24, 1996 and ratified it on September 11, 1998.
El Salvador signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPAN) on September 20, 2017 and ratified it on January 30, 2019.
