Chile signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on February 14, 1967, ratified the Treaty on October 9, 1974 and on January 18, 1994 presented its declaration of waiver of the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
Chile signed a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on April 5, 1995, in accordance with Article 13 of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
Chile acceded to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on May 25, 1995 in Washington.
Chile signed the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) on September 24, 1996 and ratified it on July 12, 2000.
Chile signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPAN) on September 20, 2017 and ratified it on September 23, 2021.
