Brazil

Brazil signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on May 9, 1967, ratified the Treaty on January 29, 1968 and on May 30, 1994 presented its declaration of waiver of the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

Brazil signed a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on December 13, 1991, in accordance with Article 13 of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

Brazil acceded to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on September 18, 1998 in London, Moscow and Washington.

Brazil signed the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) and ratified it on July 24, 1998.

Brazil signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPAN) on September 20, 2017.
