Barbados signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on October 18, 1968, ratified the Treaty on April 25, 1969 and on that same date presented its declaration of waiver of the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
Barbados signed a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on July 10, 1995, in accordance with Article 13 of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
Barbados signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on July 1, 1968 and ratified it on February 21, 1980 in Washington.
Barbados signed the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) on 14 January 2008 and ratified it on the same day.
