Argentina signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on September 27, 1967, ratified the Treaty on January 18, 1994 and on that same date presented its declaration of waiver of the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
Argentina signed a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on December 13, 1991, in accordance with Article 13 of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
Argentina acceded to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on February 10, 1995 in Washington and on February 17, 1995 in London.
Argentina signed the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) on September 24, 1996 and ratified it on December 4, 1998.
