El Salvador

El Salvador signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on 14 February 1967, ratified the Treaty on 22 April 1968 and on that same date presented its declaration of exemption to the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

El Salvador signed a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on 22 April 1975, in accordance with Article 13 of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

El Salvador signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on 1 July 1968 and ratified it on 11 July 1972 in Washington.

El Salvador signed the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) on 24 September 1996 and ratified it on 11 September 1998.

El Salvador signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) on 20 September 2017 and ratified it on 30 January 2019.
