Uruguay

Uruguay signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on 14 February 1967, ratified the Treaty on 20 August 1968, and on that same date presented its declaration of exemption to the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

Uruguay signed a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on 24 September 1971 in accordance with Article 13 of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

Uruguay signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on 1 July 1968 and ratified it on 31 August 1970 in Washington.

Uruguay signed the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) on 24 September 1996 and ratified it on 21 September 2001.

Uruguay signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) on 20 September 2017 and ratified it on 25 July 2018.
