Paraguay

Paraguay signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on 26 April 1967, ratified the Treaty on 19 March 1969 and on that same date presented its declaration of exemption to the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

Paraguay signed a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on 22 February 1978, in accordance with Article 13 of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

Paraguay signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on 1 July 1968, ratified it on 4 February 1970 in Washington and 5 March 1970 in London.

Paraguay signed the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) on 25 September 1996 and ratified it on 4 October 2001.

Paraguay signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) on 20 September 2017 and ratified it on 23 January 2020.
