Guatemala

Guatemala signed the Treaty of Tlatelolco on 14 February 1967, ratified the Treaty on 6 February 1970 and on that same date presented its declaration of exemption to the requirements indicated in Article 29, paragraph 2, of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

Guatemala signed a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on 20 July 1978 in accordance with Article 13 of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

Guatemala signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) on 26 July 1968 and ratified it on 22 September 1970 in Washington.

Guatemala signed the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) on 20 September 1999 and ratified it on 12 January 2012.

Guatemala signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) on 20 September 2017 and ratified it on 13 June 2022.
