Nuclear Weapon States

Nuclear weapon states (NWS):
A legal term used in the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) to refer to nations that had detonated a nuclear device prior to
1967.
"....For the purposes of this Treaty, a nuclear-weapon State is one which has manufactured and exploded a nuclear weapon or other nuclear explosive device prior to 1 January, 1967." (Article 9, paragraph 3 of the NPT)
By this definition, only China, France, Russia, United Kingdom and United States are NWS. So India y a Pakistan are non-nuclear weapon states - NNWS.
